Shelly Garg, Esq.
Shelly Garg is an associate with Humphrey Mirkin P.A. She practices in the areas of food, drug, and cosmetic law, assisting clients with regulatory and legal compliance issues involving the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and other federal, state and local authorities.
Before beginning her legal career, Ms. Garg worked in Washington, D.C. as an analyst, in the Directorate of Intelligence at the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency. In that capacity, she was granted a top-secret security clearance, and produced intelligence briefs to support U.S. government foreign policy decision-makers on various homeland security concerns.
During law school, Ms. Garg worked at the National Science Foundation, Office of the Inspector General, where she assisted attorneys and investigators in the areas of government contracts, grantee compliance, embezzlement, fraud, misrepresentation and plagiarism. She was also involved in qui tam actions and False Claims Act cases. Ms. Garg also clerked for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit, Miami-Dade County, and served as a law clerk for Fisher, Butts, Sechrest, Warner & Palmer, where she assisted attorneys in breach of contract, property, wrongful death, premises liability, medical and legal malpractice, and criminal and civil procedure disputes.
Ms. Garg earned her undergraduate degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of Miami and her law degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. She was an active member of the Florida Moot Court Team, and received a book award in Evidence.
Ms. Garg is admitted in Florida. She is fluent in Hindi.
